In January 1313, Robert the Bruce expelled the English from Perth, Scotland, and he retook the Isle of Man from the English later that year.  So there was a bit of trouble with the Scotts in which Sir Robert may have been involved.

It seems there were two Oswald Talbois in the same generation. The website https://www.myheritage.com/names/oswald_talbois has been used to distinguish them, though even the website seems confusing. A certain logic has been applied, but did the son marry his aunt?
